Two or more free points can be combined into a group. If one of the points in a group is moved, all the other points including objects that depend on them are moved as well.

A group consists of at least two free points. To create a group, points have to be clicked in sequence.

One last click on an already marked point finalizes the group.

If one of the points is already a member of a different group, this whole group is included in the new one.

The points are indexed with group's name. These indeces can be hidden using the check box "Label" in the dialogue  object properties.

Using  Break up group breaks up the group.
